MIDI implementation chart

Set your controller to the same MIDI channel as the hardware. Preset and effect positions in the messages below start at zero.
Applies to: Stratus and Nimbus.
Messages
| Message | Value | Result |

| Program Change | 0 = first preset, 1 = second, etc. | Recall from the synced preset list. |
| CC7 | 0–127 | Master volume, from mute to maximum. |
| CC14 | Effect index, 0 = first | Bypass the selected effect. |
| CC15 | Effect index, 0 = first | Enable the selected effect. |
| CC16 | Effect index, 0 = first | Toggle the selected effect. |
| CC17 | 0 / 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 | Clear / record / playback / overdub / pause. |
| CC18 | 0 / 1 / 2 / 3 | Looper / Stompbox (Live) / Preset / Tuner. |
Examples
- Send CC16 value 0 to toggle the first effect in the chain.
- Send CC14 value 2 to bypass the third effect.
- Send Program Change 2 to recall the third synced preset.
- Send CC7 value 0 to mute; check this setting if your rig unexpectedly goes silent.
Latest behavior
Preview: CC17 also operates the looper from Preset and Stompbox modes in recent firmware. Earlier instructions requiring Looper mode for every MIDI loop command do not apply to that update.
Prerequisites and limits
Preset mode needs stored presets; Stompbox mode needs a chain. Reordering effects changes CC14–16 targets, and reordering synced presets changes Program Change targets. Do not assume arbitrary knob control, MIDI clock, or other messages are supported unless listed here.
