Stratus® MSRP Decrease & International Expansion

Posted by Chaos Audio on

At Chaos Audio, we are excited to share some major developments in our journey to make innovative music technology accessible to a broader audience. With a change in our pricing and business model, we have significantly reduced the cost of Stratus®, our flagship multi-effects platform.

“We wanted to scale up our business by lowering the barrier to entry for people to get their hands on the hardware,” said Chaos Audio founder Landon McCoy.

While previously $379, the strategic move to lower the price of Stratus® to $249 aims to rapidly grow our community of Stratus users, allowing more musicians to experience the versatility and power of our compact, next-gen effects processor.

In line with this new pricing, we’ve streamlined the effects that come with Stratus®, providing a focused selection of 18 essential effects to get started. Musicians can easily expand their collection with additional effects available as individual purchases, or they can purchase them in bundles, such as TonePass™ Lifetime, which includes all Chaos Audio and Manic FX plugins.

Existing customers will continue to have access to all of the original effects that were available at the time that they purchased Stratus® for no additional cost.

“We were charging more for a Stratus® pedal than the cost of an iPad mini,” McCoy noted. “We needed to make it more affordable without compromising on quality.”

Our commitment to quality remains unwavering as we grow both domestically and internationally. We are particularly thrilled to announce that we have signed on with our first European distributor, with an additional commitment from our first Korean distributor.

Until now, international customers had to buy directly from us in the United States, incurring substantial shipping costs and import fees. These additional costs often amounted to about half of the price of the pedal itself.

“Now, they are going to see a much lower price tag,” McCoy explained. “Soon, hopefully, they will be able to go to a local music store or order one from a dealer site like Thomann,” Europe’s largest online music gear retailer.

These developments mark an exciting chapter in Chaos Audio’s growth story. We remain dedicated to making high-quality, innovative music technology accessible to musicians everywhere, and we are grateful for the continued support of our growing community.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to expand our reach and bring more exciting products to market!
