Here’s what to update: install the latest Chaos Audio app on iOS or Android, then update Stratus to firmware 1.0.100 for the new NAM improvements. Faster captured tones and sign-in on up to three devices are already live—no app update needed for those features.
Three NAM blocks. One chain.
Stratus can now run up to three Neural Amp Modeler (NAM) blocks simultaneously. Use your own uploaded models, captures from TONE3000, or a combination of both in the same chain.
Each NAM block now uses roughly half the CPU it did before, giving you more room to work with captured amp and pedal tones on Stratus.
Switching sounds is smoother, too. We’ve fixed popping and clicking when changing NAM models or presets—including switching between identical NAM presets—with improved model loading and smoother audio transitions.

FX Builder 2.0 goes mobile
You can now build 2.0 effects right inside the Chaos Audio app on iOS and Android. FX Builder 2.0 brings effect creation to the same app you use with your Chaos Audio gear.
Newly added effects also start with their creator’s chosen settings, so you hear the intended starting point. Amp and pedal captures start at their neutral midpoint, ready for you to dial in.
Faster amp and pedal tones—already live
Most amp and pedal tone requests now come straight from Chaos’s verified library of real hardware captures. These captures are already converted, so you can get to the tone in seconds.
TONE3000 is only needed when the library doesn’t have the gear you’re looking for. Newly found captures then expand the library for everyone.
We’ve also tightened quality checks for more consistent captured tones. On amp captures, the Tone knob is neutral at the center, darker to the left, and brighter to the right, giving you a predictable starting point.
These improvements are already live for everyone. No app update is needed.
Your presets and models, ready when you are
The latest mobile app update makes it easier to move between devices and keep your sounds organized.
Presets that follow you
Your presets—and their order—stay in sync across devices. Pull down to refresh your preset list, with more reliable imports and cleaner account switching.
Complete TONE3000 pack backups
Saving a NAM or impulse response (IR) pack now automatically backs up every model in the pack to your Chaos Audio account. Your saved models stay available after your TONE3000 session expires.
If your TONE3000 session expires while you’re installing a model, the app opens a sign-in window. Once you log in, the window closes and installation resumes for the model you selected.
More reliable sign-in and restoration
We’ve fixed a crash that could occur on first sign-in. If purchased effects can’t restore immediately, your presets still sync, and the effects restore the next time you open the app.
This release also adds Android 16 support.
Stay signed in on up to three devices
Move between your phone, tablet, and another device without signing back in. Support for up to three signed-in devices is already live for everyone, with no app update required.
