Update Stratus firmware

Use the official Stratus Update Tool and a USB data cable. Keep Stratus connected and powered until the tool confirms completion.

Update from a computer

  1. Download the current Windows or Mac tool from the official update page.
  2. Connect Stratus to the computer with a USB data cable and let it finish booting.
  3. Open the tool, check for updates, and use its Connect and Update controls. Follow the prompts for your installed tool version.
  4. Wait for the tool to confirm completion before disconnecting. Reopen the Chaos Audio app and reconnect afterward.

Mobile USB update preview

Preview: Recent app versions include an Update Firmware (USB) entry when the device/platform supports it. If that option is absent, use the computer tool. A USB-C connector alone does not establish update compatibility.

If detection or downloading fails

  • Try another data-capable cable and a direct computer USB port.
  • Close other software or a virtual machine that might have captured the USB device.
  • Check your internet connection if the firmware download fails.
  • Restart the tool before starting another attempt. If an update is actively running, follow its recovery prompt instead of unplugging.
  • Send support the exact error, computer OS, update-tool version, and device behavior.
