Power Stratus and prevent power noise

Use a center-negative 9V DC supply rated for at least 400mA. An isolated power output is recommended.

Before connecting power

  • Check the voltage, DC marking, center-negative polarity, and current rating on the supply.
  • Use a dedicated isolated output. Avoid sharing a daisy-chain power lead with other pedals.
  • USB-C can power Stratus, but some USB power sources introduce audio noise.
Check all three power requirements. 9V DC: Match the voltage. Center-negative: Match the polarity. 400mA or more: Use a suitable isolated output. A higher current rating is capacity; it does not change the required voltage.

Startup

Connect power and wait for the blue/pink startup animation to finish. The LEDs should then respond to the controls.

If you hear hum or noise

  1. Turn down the listening volume. Try the recommended isolated 9V supply.
  2. Disconnect unnecessary USB connections and simplify the audio chain.
  3. Test the guitar and cables with the amp or interface directly, then add Stratus back.
  4. If noise remains, send support your power-supply label and a description of the complete rig.
