Use headphones or record directly with Stratus

Connect Stratus OUT to an audio interface, mixer, or headphone amplifier. Stratus does not have a dedicated headphone output.

Headphone setup

  1. Connect guitar → Stratus IN.
  2. Connect Stratus OUT → the input of your interface, mixer, or headphone amplifier.
  3. Plug headphones into that device and start with its volume low.
  4. For an interface, select direct monitoring or the appropriate recording-software monitor path. Route the mono input to both ears.
Headphones need a listening device. Stratus OUT: Mono instrument signal. Interface or amp: Use an audio interface or headphone amp. Headphones: Plug into that device; start at low volume. The Stratus output is not a dedicated headphone socket.

Amp and cabinet sound

For a complete direct guitar sound, try a compatible NAM amp model followed by a cabinet IR. A capture that already includes a cabinet may not need another IR. See NAM models and IRs.

Bluetooth and USB

The app’s Bluetooth connection controls Stratus; it does not send guitar audio to your phone or Bluetooth headphones. Do not assume Nimbus’s USB audio-interface or headphone hardware is present on Stratus.
