Your Stratus Just Got a Built-In Tuner

Tune Up Without Switching Pedals

Good news, Stratus owners: your pedal now has a built-in tuner. No extra gear, no apps to juggle—just you, your guitar, and your Stratus keeping you in tune.

This feature is available right now through a free firmware update.

How to Use It

Turning It On

Press and hold both the footswitch and the black knob at the same time. Stratus instantly switches to Tuner Mode.

To exit, just do the same thing—hold both switches again. You'll be right back to your effects, ready to play.

If you're a MIDI user, you can also activate Tuner Mode with CC 18 (value 3).

See Your Pitch at a Glance

The LEDs on your Stratus become a visual tuning meter:

  • 🟢 Center LED glows green — You're in tune
  • 🟡 Yellow LEDs — Getting close
  • 🟠 Orange LEDs — A bit off
  • 🔴 Red LEDs — Keep adjusting

Flat? The lit LED appears on the left side. Sharp? It's on the right. Simple as that.

When you're in Tuner Mode, your audio output is muted so you can tune silently—perfect for between songs at a gig or dialing in before a recording take.

Get the Update

If you haven't updated your Stratus firmware recently, you'll need to grab this one to unlock Tuner Mode.

Download the Stratus Update Tool →

The update is free and takes just a couple of minutes. Once you're updated, Tuner Mode is ready to go.

What's Next

Right now, Tuner Mode supports standard tuning (E A D G B E). We're looking at adding alternate tunings in a future update based on your feedback.

The ability to activate Tuner Mode from the Chaos Audio app is also in the works—stay tuned for that one.
