Upload your own NAM models and IR files

Use USE MY OWN to add compatible NAM models or WAV impulse responses to your private Chaos Audio library.

Applies to: Stratus and Nimbus.

Upload

  1. Save the file somewhere your phone or tablet’s file picker can access.
  2. Open Pedalboard → Add Effect, then NAM AMP MODELS or IMPULSE RESPONSES.
  3. Choose USE MY OWN and select the matching .nam or .wav file.
  4. Enter a name. You may add a PNG or JPEG image; it is optional.
  5. Finish the upload, then install the new item to your connected hardware.
Your file → your private library. USE MY OWN: Choose a compatible .nam or WAV IR. Name + upload: Artwork is optional. Install: Transfer the item to Stratus or Nimbus. Presets containing private uploads cannot redistribute those files through public sharing.

Choose the right file

TypeRequirement
NAMA supported A2 model. The extension alone is not a compatibility check.
IRA valid WAV impulse response. The device uses up to 1024 samples of the response.

Private means private

Uploads belong to your private library. Personal account sync is separate from public sharing. A preset containing a privately uploaded NAM or IR is blocked from public Chaos Cloud sharing; do not expect the file to be redistributed with a public preset.

If an upload fails

  • Check internet access, sign-in, the file type, and any quota message.
  • A NAM architecture error requires a compatible model, not another upload of the same file.
  • If upload succeeds but hardware installation fails, check Bluetooth and firmware separately.
  • Send support the error and file type; share files only if you have permission to do so.
