Install effects on Stratus or Nimbus

An effect in your account must also be installed on the hardware before that device can run it.

Applies to: Stratus and Nimbus.

Install

  1. Sign into the account that owns or created the effect.
  2. Connect the app to Stratus or Nimbus over Bluetooth.
  3. Open the effect or preset and use Install or follow the missing-effect prompt.
  4. Keep the app open, stay near the device, and wait for the transfer to finish.
  5. Load the preset again and check the sound.
In your account → on your hardware. Account library: Sign into the account with the effect. Install: Transfer to the connected device. Play: Load the effect or preset after completion. Each Stratus or Nimbus needs its own installed copy of the files.

What is transferred?

This applies to pre-made effects, FX Builder effects, NAM models, and IR files. Account downloads, hardware installation, and preset sync are separate steps. Each physical device needs its own installed copies.

During a transfer

Recent firmware temporarily bypasses effect processing while installing files. Finish transfers before a performance rather than installing while relying on the current sound.

If installation fails

  • Check both internet access for account downloads and the Bluetooth connection for hardware transfers.
  • Update the app and firmware using their supported release channels.
  • For NAM compatibility errors, use a supported model instead of repeatedly uploading the same incompatible file.
  • Keep the exact error and effect/model name for support.
