FX Builder builds, private publishing, and Tone Shop

AI builds pay for generating or refining effects. Publishing privately to your account is different from submitting an effect to the public Tone Shop.

Check your balance

Use the balance and reset date shown in your account. The current advertised allowance includes 30 free builds per month; eligibility and your account’s displayed balance determine what you can use. Paid packages and plans are optional and shown before checkout.

What uses a build?

Generating a new effect or asking AI to refine its code uses the generation allowance. Playing an installed effect does not require a new AI generation. Do not rely on old signup-bonus totals in earlier guides.

Publish privately

  1. Finish the sound and its control layout.
  2. Use Share / Publish privately to compile and add it to your own account.
  3. In the mobile app, use the same account and find it in My Created FX.
  4. Install it on the hardware and test it. Private publication does not put the effect in the public store.

Submit publicly

Use the Advanced Publish workflow to submit an effect for Tone Shop review. Public distribution has separate metadata, asset, agreement, and review requirements. Consult the developer submission guide and the current agreements in FX Builder.

Browser audition limits

FAUST-based effects can be auditioned in the browser. Uploaded compiled binaries do not provide the same browser audio preview; test them on supported hardware.
