FX Builder Design showing the Afterglow pedal, nine finish options, and editable knob labels.
FX Builder 2.0 preview, captured September 10, 2026. Design changes the finish and control labels; it does not change the sound. Open image at full size.

Simple Design

  1. Create and audition the sound in Studio first.
  2. Open Design and select a family/finish that makes the effect easy to recognize.
  3. Review the control labels and save the design.
  4. Continue to Share to publish the effect to your account.

Sound and appearance are separate

A finish changes the visual pedal. It does not change the DSP, make a different NAM capture, or add a physical enclosure to your order.

Advanced tools

Advanced mode retains the code editor, audio testing, UI Builder, and Publish workflow. Use UI Builder for custom images and control layouts; automatic knob-label placement is an explicit action. Review the result before saving.

Existing effects

Older effects can keep their original artwork. The new finishes do not automatically replace every published effect or custom image.
